I am excited to welcome you to a new school year at W.C. Petty Elementary School! As your principal, I look forward to another year of learning, growth, and achievement alongside our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive community.

 

At W.C. Petty Elementary School, our mission is to inspire hearts, empower growth, and celebrate achievement. This mission is at the core of everything we do, guiding our efforts to ensure that each child is supported in their journey to reach their fullest potential.

 

 

1. Improving Growth in Math and Reading: We are committed to delivering high-quality instruction and targeted support to help our students excel academically. Our teachers will use instructional strategies and differentiated approaches to ensure every child makes notable progress in these foundational subjects.

 

2. Reducing Major Discipline Referrals: We aim to create a positive and respectful school environment where every student feels safe and valued. By promoting a culture of respect, responsibility, and safety, we seek to minimize disruptions and encourage positive behavior throughout our school.

 

3. Boosting Attendance: Regular attendance is essential for academic success. We will work closely with families to address any challenges to consistent attendance and encourage our students to be present and engaged in their learning every day.

 

I also want to highlight our booster organization, the Petty Bobcat Boosters. This group provides invaluable support to our school and creates numerous opportunities for family events. This is a fantastic way to contribute to the school community and support our students' success.
