Welcome to W.C. Petty Elementary School!
Whether your family is joining us for the very first time or returning for another wonderful year, I am so excited that you're here. It is an incredible honor to serve as your principal and to become part of this amazing school community.
As I spend time getting to know Petty, one thing has become abundantly clear…this is a school built on caring relationships, dedicated educators, and a community that deeply believes in its children. I feel incredibly fortunate to join a place with such a strong foundation, and I look forward to building alongside all of you.
We believe every child walks through our doors with unique strengths, endless potential, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on the world around them. Our job is to help each student discover those strengths, nurture their confidence, and provide opportunities to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and as compassionate members of our community.
At Petty, we want every child to know they belong here. We want them to feel safe taking risks, asking questions, celebrating successes, learning from mistakes, and discovering just how capable they are. When children feel seen, supported, and connected, incredible things happen.
We also believe schools are strongest when families and educators work together. Thank you for trusting us. We value your partnership, your voice, and the opportunity to work together in helping every student thrive.
As we begin this school year, we are filled with optimism for what lies ahead. There will be challenges, celebrations, laughter, learning, and countless moments of growth. Through it all, we hope our students leave each day believing just a little more in themselves than they did the day before.
